The hard part is almost never the cuddle. It is the ten seconds after it. They are calm in your arms, arching has stopped, breathing has slowed, and then your hands leave and a cold unfamiliar mat undoes the whole thing in a second.
The BabyHush™ Plush Soothing Toy gives them one thing that does not change in that moment. Something soft they are already holding while you settle them, that is still there when you lower them down. It is not a trick and it is not instant. It is a comfort object, and comfort objects work by being consistently the same. It comes in Pink, Blue and Grey, and it is small enough to live in the nappy bag so it comes to the pram, the car seat and the grandparents’ house too.
One thing we will always be clear about. This is for the parts of the day when you are there and watching. Wind-down, the hand-off, couch cuddles, a supervised pram nap. It does not go in the cot and it is not for unsupervised sleep, because Red Nose guidance is a clear cot for babies under twelve months and we are not going to write around that. Grab it with free delivery Australia-wide, give it thirty days, and if your baby does not take to it send it back for a full refund, so there’s nothing to lose!

What is the BabyHush™ Plush Soothing Toy?
A soft comfort toy for supervised, awake settling. It gives your baby something familiar to hold while you wind them down and lower them onto the mat or into the pram. It comes in Pink, Blue and Grey.
How does it help with settling?
It works the way any comfort object works, by being the one thing that does not change. While you settle them in your arms they hold it and press their cheek into it. When you lower them down, that familiar thing is still there. The toy is not doing the settling, you are. It just stops the hand-off being the moment everything resets.
Can it go in the cot overnight?
No. Red Nose guidance is a clear cot for babies under twelve months, with no pillows, toys or loose bedding. Use this for supervised settling and daytime naps when you are present, and put it away whenever they are left to sleep unsupervised. We would rather say that plainly than sell you one more thing for the cot.
When should I use it during the day?
Any time you are actively settling them and staying with them. Wind-down before a nap, the transfer onto the mat, couch cuddles, or a supervised pram nap while you are pushing. The more consistently it shows up in those calm moments, the more it means to them.
Can I take it out of the house?
Yes, that is half the point. It fits in a nappy bag, so the same familiar thing is there at the grandparents’ place, in a café or in a hotel room where nothing else is. The same supervised rule applies wherever you are.
How long before they take to it?
That varies a lot. Some babies latch onto a comfort object straight away, some take weeks, and some never do. Offer it every time you settle them and see what happens. If it is not for your baby, send it back.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Shipping is free to every address in Australia, with no minimum spend.
When will my order be dispatched?
Orders are dispatched with Free & Fast Delivery. You will get a confirmation email as soon as it leaves us.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Most metro addresses arrive in 5 to 9 business days. Regional and remote addresses take a little longer, and Australia Post gets busier around Christmas and the major sale periods.
Will everything arrive together?
Most orders arrive in a single parcel. Occasionally items travel separately, and if that happens you will get a tracking number for each one so you can follow both.
How do I track my order?
A tracking number is emailed as soon as the parcel is scanned. If it has not arrived within a day of dispatch, check your junk folder before emailing us, because that is usually where it is.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us as soon as you can. If it has not been dispatched we can usually change or cancel it. Once it is with Australia Post it has to go through the returns process instead.
What if I change my mind after it arrives?
You have thirty days from delivery. Email us with your order number and we will send a prepaid return label the same business day, along with the address.
